Growing onions is one of the biggest garden staples in modern gardening history. Nearly everyone grows them, whether for eating or for organic pest control.

But, how long do onions take to grow, from start to harvest?

Today’s common gardening question: how long do onions take to grow?

The answer: onions grow for approximately 90 days from start to harvest. Growing onions from seeds may require an extra two weeks to a month. Likewise, starting from onion bulbs or start plants reduces the growing time of onions by 10 to 20 days.
