The Answer: Alocasia needs lots of bright but indirect light. In nature, Alocasia thrives on forest floors where it is protected from direct sunlight by thick green canopies of tree leaves. If your plant is outside, the best location is somewhere that gets morning or even light and shade for the main parts of the day.
