Gardening question of the day: How much light do eggplants need?
Answer: Eggplants need at least 4 to 6 hours of direct sunlight on most days, so growing them in an outside garden is best. Feel free to plant them somewhere that gets more light, however, because they love the sun. In fact, many eggplants do just fine in as much as 8 to 10 hours of light.
