Today’s Common Gardening Question: How much light do onions need?
The Answer: Like with Lettuce, growing onions need quite a bit of light compared to other garden veggies; 12 to 16 hours minimum. The exception being indoor onions, which may grow just fine under 6 to 8 hours of artifical lights.
