Today’s Common Gardening Question: How much water do bananas need?
The Answer: Bananas require between 1.5 and 2 inches (or slightly more) of water each week. During the hotter times of the year, or if you live in a tropical climate zone, you may need to increase the water by an additional 1 to 2 inches per week.
The amount of water a banana tree requires also depends on the quality of the soil and the amount of sun it receives.
