Today’s Common Gardening Question: How much water do bell peppers need?

The Answer: Bell peppers like water quite a bit, so count on giving them a solid 1 to 2 inches of water per week throughout the entire growing season.

If the temperatures are regularly high in your area, consider watering your bell peppers in the morning and in the evening (avoiding mid-day heat).

Likewise, increase the amount of water you give them by an extra 1 to 2 inches per week if the temperature stays above 80°F for more than a day or two.
