Today’s Common Gardening Question: How much water do cherries need?

The Answer: Cherry trees require water every day for the first two weeks when they are planted. Afterward, they need around 1 to 2 inches of water every 10 to 15 days for the first growing season.

Once a cherry tree is well established, you won’t need to water it more than once or twice per year (unless you it is growing in a pot, then you’ll water it once every 30 days or so).
