Today’s Common Gardening Question: How much water do lemons need?

The Answer: Lemon trees require watering a bit on a daily basis when first planted. After they’ve established themselves and/or acclimated to their new environment, they need approximately 1 to 1.5 inches of water every 5 to 10 days.

After a lemon tree has born fruit for a year or two, you may reduce watering to 1 inch or so every 15 days.
