Today’s Common Gardening Question: How much water do pears need?
The Answer: Pears need approximately 1 to 2 inches of water each week during the first growing season. When they are first planted, they should be watered a bit each day, for up to 10 or 15 days.
After they are well-established, pears need only be watered a few times each year (when you fertilize them in the spring, summer, or fall, is a good time to do so).
