The Answer: Potatoes need around 1 to 2 inches of water per week. You need to count rainfall and in the case it is not enough, water it by yourself.
Potatoes enjoy moist soil all of the time, so it doesn’t hurt to add a bit of mulch around them and plant them in soil that retains moisture well.
